Sr. High Canoe Country Adventure

During the week of July 19, six Our Savior’s senior high students partook in a four-night trek into the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Accompanied by Youth and Family Director Meagan Esterby and guided by Steve Sorenson of Voyageurs Lutheran Ministry, Tucker Nelson, Garrett Ongalo, Katelyn LeBeque, David Wildes, Anders Braaten, and Summer Toole paddled and portaged approximately forty miles. The route took them north from the Echo Trail through the Upper Chain, making a loop through Lac la Croix. Despite battling bugs, wind, and beaver dams, the group all had an amazing experience connecting with the Lord and each other, all while learning about exploring in God’s Great Northwoods.

We hope you’ll join us at worship Sunday, January 11 for Camp vccSunday! Our Savior’s Lutheran Church is a member of Voyageur’s Lutheran Ministry and shares a long history with the two VLM camps, Camp Hiawatha and Camp Vermilion. campfireGretchen Bachman, VLM’s Program Director, will be sharing the message at worship that Sunday and will be available to answer all of your questions about our shared ministry. During Bible Quest we will worship together in a campfire led by OSLC campers. If you have a favorite song to request, just email Meagan!
