The OSLC Quilting Group meets every Wednesday from 9:00am to about 2:00 pm. Come when you can, leave when you must… coffee is always on and a pot luck lunch is usually provided.
We sew quilts for Lutheran World Relief, local shelters, The Youth Corridor housing, for families who have lost their houses to fire, baby quilts for the County nurses to distribute as needed, to families who are lucky enough to have new Habitat housing – to name a few. It is a very important ministry to the women of OSLC and we distribute 150-200 quilts a year from our community to other states to across the globe.
We take a brief break in December and then meet occasionally in the Summer to sort and organize for the next quilting year. Get involved-it’s a lot of fun!
