Musicians at Our Savior’s Lutheran

We have a strong history at Our Savior’s of providing skilled, professional quality music. Our worship services include traditional liturgical music and hymns played on our two-story Jaeckel Pipe Organ. Dan Jaeckel of Duluth, Minnesota, is well known as one of the most respected organ builders in the world. We are blessed to have one of his beautiful organs installed. We’ve also had a Zimbelstern added to our organ, a memorial gift from the Moberg family, that plays chimes in accompaniment with music.

Our organists/pianists are Kristen Weikum, Ginny Ahrlin, Mark Ongalo, Jen Fredrickson, Anna and Jim De Foe.  In addition, we are blessed with a skilled professional violinist, Beth Getman, who can also play organ/piano. They are all proficient musicians who have extensive knowledge in classical music, and share their craft to lead us in worship on Sundays.  We also have talented guitar players & a drummer, John Elofson, Ken Voight, and Butch Panula, who play for special services and events. Also, Anna & Jim D. lead our Choir of gifted singers every other week and for holidays. It is quite rare for a church to be blessed with so many accomplished instrumentalists and singers, and even more rare to have a Jaeckel Pipe Organ and Zimbelstern – the only ones north of Duluth, Minnesota. If you enjoy classical music, Our Savior’s Lutheran Church provides the gift of music to lead you into meaningful worship every Sunday. Join us!
